Continuing Our Partnership with Food Lifeline
On November 26th, the Upward Architecture team returned to Food Lifeline for a pre-Thanksgiving volunteer shift—this time alongside 20+ members of the West Seattle Rotary Club. Together, we packed over 16,400 pounds of rice and potatoes into family-sized portions, preparing them for distribution to food banks across Washington State.
In October 2023, we got our first taste (figuratively) of Food Lifeline’s mission to end hunger across Western Washington. That experience stuck with us, and this year’s Thanksgiving shift felt like a natural next step – we’ve grown to deeply appreciate the organization’s mission to feed people today while working to solve hunger for tomorrow.
For our team, these experiences serve as reminders of the importance of service and connection—both cornerstones of the healthy communities we aspire to design. We look forward to continuing this partnership in the years ahead. We left Food Lifeline tired but grateful, with an even stronger connection to an organization whose mission resonates deeply with our values. It’s safe to say this tradition is here to stay.
