Upward Architecture worked with Double Canyon Winery and the Crimson Wine Group, based in Napa, CA, on their West Richland, WA winery. Mountain States Construction provided initial facility design along with equipment planning and coordination.
Upward’s team developed numerous components of the project alongside Mountain States Construction, including integration of Double Canyon’s brand identity into the building’s facade & site signage, designing the guest arrival portico and tasting room, and working with North Clad Rainscreen Systems to design the custom CNC-milled aluminum perforated panel cladding – which echoed Double Canyon’s label motif, reminiscent of the flowing winds through the Columbia River Gorge & surrounding canyons.
