Upward served as Architect of Record for targeted alterations to the Porsche dealership in Bellevue, Washington, working with AutoNation to implement Porsche’s corporate design standards within the existing facility. The project included interventions designed to elevate the customer experience, refresh key public-facing spaces, and bring the dealership into alignment with the evolving Porsche brand.

Within the showroom, new glass-enclosed sales offices allow visual connectivity while maintaining privacy for conversations between customers and staff. The glazing also preserves views across the showroom and allows vehicles to remain the primary focus. Modifications to service check-in spaces increase efficiency and improve client interactions.

A new 2nd-floor customer lounge creates a hospitality-oriented experience within the dealership. Warm wood surfaces, tailored millwork, integrated lighting, comfortable furnishings, and a refreshment bar create an environment that feels more akin to a hospitality environment than a traditional automotive waiting area.

As Architect of Record, our role bridged Porsche’s brand objectives with AutoNation’s operational requirements and the realities of the existing Bellevue facility. The result supports the expectations associated with the Porsche brand without allowing the architecture to compete with the cars themselves.
